Join us in this half day tour and take a part of Managua with you. What’s the offer? Well, a panoramic view over the city and of its Historic Center (Palacio de la Cultura, National Theater, and former Cathedral), a visit to the ruins of the presidential palace during President Somoza government; the revolutionary Museum about Augusto C. Sandino; shopping in the national market; and a visit to the port of Xolotlan Lake.

The pickup is after midday at your hotel in Managua in air conditioned vehicle. First stop is the Tiscapa Hill for panoramic view and better understanding about the establishment of the city which first was a fishers’ village. There, you go to the Revolutionary Museum to learn about the history of Augusto C. Sandino and of former president Somoza. Letters, pictures, maps, ruins make this place filled with history.

The tour continues to central plaza to appreciate the beauty of the former Cathedral that was damaged by the 1972 earthquake but still conserves its splendor. At the plaza, more important facts about the revolution and presidents are told. Then, continue to Paseo Xolotlan. At Paseo Xolotlan, go back in time to “Old Managua” walking by a mini replica of the main streets and buildings of the city before it was destroyed by the earthquake. Also, house museums of poet Ruben Dario and a park made out of mini replicas of churches of Nicaragua await for you.
